Golden Milk

This takes 5 minutes and its so comforting and soothing. I like it in the afternoon if I find my self craving a coffee, but don’t want the caffeine.
Use a milk frother if you have one to make this extra creamy. If you don’t have one blend in a Nutri-Bullet after you’ve heated it to ‘wizz’ up the milk. (Just be careful when opening the blender as it will be hot!)
2 mugs Oatly milk (Barista style)
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cardamon
1/4 tsp ground turmeric
1/4 tsp maca powder (or one capsule)
1/4 tsp ashwaganda powder
1/4 tsp coconut oil
1/2 tsp maple syrup
Pinch of salt and black pepper
Squeeze of lemon
Pour the milk in each mug so you can measure exactly how much milk you want and then pour in a small saucepan. Simply add all the other ingredients and leave to warm, giving everything a good mix every now and then. The colour will deepen to a golden yellow. When the milk is hot but not boiling begin to use the milk frother to cream the milk, it will double in volume.
Pour back into your mugs and top with cinnamon or cocoa powder.
